Oregon is another state in the Pacific Northwest where heavy equipment operators are in demand in many more industries besides construction. Pipeline development and logging are both examples of important parts of Oregon’s GDP. In fact Oregon has seen one of the biggest rises in heavy equipment operator employment in all of the U.S at +7.1%. Oregon has the 11th highest rate of growth in the U.S and projects such as the Barbur Development ($75,000,000) and 3rd Avenue Project ($50,000,000), both in Portland, identify the state’s needs to accommodate this growth.
