The AGC has implemented a heavy equipment operator training course at their Hastings facility, starting in the 2016 school year. The program lasts for a full school year and is a 37-hour diploma. The study is broken down into nine hours of general studies, 26 hours devoted to heavy equipment training, and two hours for CDL Class B prep.
Although the program is new, there is still a diverse equipment line for individuals to train upon. Machinery includes a skid steer, backhoe, dozer, small excavator, motor grader, front-end loader, and dump truck. ACG has plans to expand their training equipment to include a directional drill, a scraper, and compaction equipment.
